06 DAYS GORILLAS & CHIMPANZEES TREK

This six days safari which will start and end in Kampala involves Gorilla trekking and Chimpanzee touring. It will take you to South Western Uganda into the Impenetrable Bwindi forest. This thick Bwindi forest that spreads out to 331 sq km covers the entire steep edge of the Albertine Rift Valley. Mountain Gorilla trackng is he major activity done in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. From there you will head for a Chimpanzee tracking in the Kibale Forest National Park.

Day 1: Arrival

On arrival, you will be received by an airport representative/driver who will transfer you to a hotel in Entebbe town.  Over night at Boma Guest House for mid range accommodation or Central Inn for Low budget accommodation. BB

Day 2: Entebbe to Bwindi

After an early breakfast you will head south west of Uganda and cross the equator. You will drive past banana plantations, herds of long horned Ankole cattle, and the beautiful savanna grasslands. You will ascend into the magnificent terraced Kigezi highlands to Bwindi. Overnight at Gorilla Safari Lodge for mid range accommodation or at the Camping site in Bwindi . FB

Day 3: Gorilla trekking

Early morning  you will enter deep into the fresh and thick Bwindi the Mountain Gorilla sanctuary. After an informative briefing by the guide, you will walk into the impenetrable forest in search for the endangered gorillas, commonly known as Apes. You will also be able to see chimpanzees, black-and-white colobus monkeys and red tail monkeys. Return to the lodge to rest or opt for a walk through the surrounding community. Overnight at Gorilla Safari Lodge for mid range accommodation or at the Camping site in Bwindi . FB

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

From Bwindi you will drive to Kibale National Park making a stop over for lunch on the way arriving in the evening. Over night at Mountains of the Moon for mid range accommodation or Rwenzori View Guest House for Low Budget accommodation. FB

Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking

After your  early morning  breakfast you will be guided to Kanyanchu head offices for a briefing. From there you will start Chimpanzee tracking, and you will be able to see 12 other different primate species like vervet monkeys, gray cheeked mangabeys and baboons. In the afternoon go for Bidogi Swamp walk.

Day 6: Departure

Drive back to Entebbe International Airport for your flight.
