We would like to bring the following information to you attention. Most of the clients coming seem not to have enough information on Adventure camping safari. Please make sure you provide the following information to your clients.
These are adventure-oriented safaris where one enjoys; Nature experience, wildlife, culture and scenery.
The safaris are basic and NOT luxury, we carry the camping equipments with us on safari and set up the camps in designated areas within the national parks. Most of the campsites do not have any facilities; some have latrines and cold showers, while others have non.
We provide tent for 2 persons and small mattresses to use; every client must bring along a sleeping bag for use during the safari. In Maasai Mara clients are privileged to use our big tents with small beds but the rest of the National Park / Reserves we use small tents, Igloo or “A” flame Tent with mattress only.
Unless clients are booked on private safari any other safaris are open to be joined by other nationalities from different countries. English is the official language used on safari, but where requested we provide special driver/guides who are linguistic.
During the camping safari clients are welcome to participate in the activities at the campsite but we have a cook who prepares the meals and helps to set up tents for the clients. He also takes care of the camp when the clients and driver go for game drives.
Game drive are provided early in the morning and late afternoon and will depend on the itinerary.
The food we provide are prepared at the campsite by our cook in the open, we provide bottled water for washing vegetables and fruits for the safety of the clients. We must be advised in advance if clients are vegetarian or if they have special diets. All clients must bring bottled water for their use on safari, as we do not provide any. No water is available at the campsite for sale and must be bought in Nairobi or any other town before departure of safari.
While our departure from Nairobi are between 08h00 and 08h30, they can be delayed due to packing of food supply or any other unforeseen circumstances but we will always endeavor to keep time.
While on safari, all National park and Game reserves have rules and regulations and this must be followed to the letter. We have experienced problems with clients inciting the driver to break the rules of which the consequences are banning the driver and company from visiting the park and hefty fines. Also the clients might be ejected from the park.
Please note that clients must bring along on a camping safari:
