other species of birds. The highlight however is the boiling hot
springs and geyser, which also contributes to the beauty of the
lake.
After lunch we proceed to Lake Nakuru another shallow soda
lake that is described as an ornithologist paradise and one of the
worlds most magnificent sights. Here
one has an opportunity to see up to millions of flamingos besides
tens of thousands of others birds. Lake Nakuru is a rhino sanctuary
and also harbors lions, warthog, waterbuck, buffalo, hippo and many
other animals. Dinner and overnight in a guesthouse or hostel located
inside the park
DAY
03: LAKE NAKURU MASAI MARA
We
head further south to Narok, camping in our semi-permanent camp
located near Sekenani gate at the edge of the park. Walk-in-tents
with beds & mattresses, hot & cold showers are available
at the Spurwing basic campsite and meals are served in the dinning
mess.
DAY
04 & 05: MASAI MARA
From
the base camp we explore the Mara region which is packed with the
elephants, zebras, rhinos and all kinds of game throughout the year,
with the spectacular wildebeest migration from Serengeti occurring
mainly in July and August. Dinner & overnight at the campsite.
DAY
06: MASAI MARA - NAIROBI
Morning
game drive & return to the campsite for breakfast, thereafter
proceed on to Nairobi via Narok where Masai souvenirs can be bought
- Picnic lunch en route.
